Keeler Lane LLC is a private investment firm focused on acquiring, operating, and growing select businesses in the lower middle market.

Keeler Lane was formed by Pat Kelly following a 20+ year career in financial services, primarily in corporate finance and M&A advisory with global banks such as Credit Suisse (through the acquisition of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette), ABN AMRO, and most recently with the middle-market investment bank Piper Jaffray.

Piper Jaffray acquired the boutique merchant banking firm River Branch Capital, where he was a founding member, in 2015. River Branch Capital focused on direct investments and strategic advisory services to financial services companies following the financial crisis.

He also spent time as a principal investor with two public equity investment firms, including a traditional long-short equity hedge fund covering the technology, media, and telecom sectors and an investment subsidiary of a global insurance holding company that pursued a private equity approach to the public markets.

Pat graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering where he was a four-year varsity letter award winner on the Division 1 football team and received an MBA with Honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Pat is a native of Chicago, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Ireland, and currently resides on the northside of the city with his wife and three kids.
